At Wisetek, a wholly owned subsidiary of Iron Mountain ALM, our facilities hold the following certifications:
- ISO 9001: Registration to ISO 9001 provides objective proof that a business has implemented and satisfied all the requirements of a quality management system. It also provides a defined set of manufacturing standards and processes to comply with to achieve excellence in customer service, product, and delivery capability. Wisetek holds this standard across Cork, Ireland; Milton Keynes, UK; US sites in Northborough, MA, and Sacramento, CA; and Thailand sites.
- ISO 14001: ISO 14001 is a global standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS). The goal of the ISO 14001 standard is to give the top management of any organization a framework for managing environmental impacts. Wisetek holds this standard across Cork, Ireland; Milton Keynes, UK; Thailand; and US sites in Northborough, MA, and Sacramento, CA.
- ISO 45001: The International Occupational Health and Safety Standard is an internationally recognized standard for occupational health and safety management systems in the workplace. Wisetek holds this health and safety standard. This standard is in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Wisetek holds this standard across Cork, Ireland; Milton Keynes, UK; Thailand; and US sites in Northborough, MA, and Sacramento, CA.
- R2v3 – Sustainable Electronics Reuse & Recycling: R2v3 is recognized as a leading standard for the sustainable reuse and recycling of e-waste in the electronics industry. This certification ensures Wisetek adheres to high quality, transparency, and environmental and social responsibilities. Wisetek holds this standard across Cork, Ireland; Milton Keynes, UK; US sites in Northborough, MA and Sacramento, CA; and Thailand sites.
- e-Stewards: The Basel Action Network developed the e-Stewards Standard for Responsible Recycling and Reuse of Electronic Equipment. This industry-specific environmental management system standard is the basis for the e-Stewards Initiative. Wisetek holds this standard at its sites in Cork, Ireland and US sites in Northborough, MA and Sacramento, CA.
- WEELABEX: WEEELABEX is the European Standard for Excellence in WEEE Recycling. This standard covers the collection, sorting, storage, transportation, preparation for re-use, treatment, processing, and disposal of all kinds of Waste Electronic Equipment (WEEE). The WEEELABEX Organization is also responsible for monitoring and auditing operators, ensuring the high quality and compliance standards are met. Wisetek holds this standard across Cork, Ireland sites.
- NAID AAA Certification: NAID AAA Certification demonstrates that Wisetek has met the rigorous requirements of the NAID AAA Certification program and has successfully demonstrated that its security processes, procedures, systems, equipment, and training meet the standards of care required by all known data protection regulations. Wisetek holds this standard across sites in Cork, Ireland and US sites in Northborough, MA and Sacramento, CA.
- NCSC Assured Sanitization Service (CAS-S) Certification: The NCSC Assured Sanitization Service (CAS-S) is a UK government–backed certification administered by the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC). It provides independent assurance that a service provider’s data sanitization and destruction processes meet stringent UK government security standards, ensuring data is irrecoverably removed from IT assets. The CAS-S scheme includes ongoing assessment and auditing of providers, giving customers confidence in the security, integrity, and compliance of certified sanitization services. Wisetek holds this certification in its Milton Keynes, UK facility.

At APCD Pty LTD, a wholly owned subsidiary of Iron Mountain ALM, our facilities hold the following certifications:
- ISO 9001 (Quality Management System): Ensuring high quality for receiving, sorting, demanufacturing, testing, resale, and data destruction of Electronic Equipment.
- ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System): Prioritizing safety for our employees and partners when receiving, sorting, demanufacturing, testing, resale, and data destruction of Electronic Equipment.
- ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System): Committing to eco-friendly practices and sustainability when receiving, sorting, demanufacturing, testing, resale, and data destruction of Electronic Equipment.
- ISO 27001 (Information Security Management System): Safeguarding data with robust security measures related to the provision of IT Asset Disposition including Asset Disposal, Remarketing, Recycling, and Data Security Services. (Applicable to Granville and Fyshwick sites only)
- Responsible Recycling (R2v3): The Responsible Use and Recycling (R2) standard, is intended to regulate and minimize the impact of electronics refurbishing and recycling on the environment and on the workers engaged in the e-recycling process. This standard focuses on the assurance that sensitive data will be destroyed, electronics with residual value will be reused, and their assets will not be disposed of in any landfills.
