What is IT asset disposition (ITAD)?

Secure IT asset disposal (ITAD or SITAD) or IT equipment disposal is the process of disposing of IT assets such as computers, servers, laptops and mobile devices in a secure and environmentally responsible manner. The goal of ITAD is to ensure sensitive data is permanently erased through certified data destruction, and equipment is recycled, refurbished, remarketed, or destroyed in a way that minimises impact on the environment.

The ITAD process involves a number of steps, including but not limited to:

Computer and PC disposal
Certified data destruction
IT asset recycling & destruction
Tape destruction
E-waste recycling & disposal services
IT equipment disposal

Be it recycling, remarketing or disposal, our experts at Iron Mountain Philippines can help you decommission your IT assets responsibly, securely, and sustainably.

What sets our IT asset disposition services apart

With most IT teams fully consumed by their “day jobs”—setting up new employees’ computers, managing network security, deploying and supporting applications, and maintaining an infrastructure—there’s almost no time left to focus on best practices for IT asset disposition (ITAD). Inadequate attention dedicated to the proper disposal of IT assets leads to increased risks, including loss of control over confidential data, lack of compliance, and impacted financial performance.

Organisations place high value on operational efficiency and maximum return on tech investments. We get it. Your company data is extremely valuable and we don’t take it for granted. That’s why we go that extra mile by providing your team with:
