Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Many organisations account and report on the emissions they generate, and have set goals to reduce these emissions over time. Increasingly, organisations have also begun to engage with their supply chains to account for emissions from “cradle to grave,” meaning along the complete lifecycle. By collaborating with suppliers, organisations can assess what emissions are material to their business, and look for innovative ways to reduce them. Iron Mountain Data Centers procurement of 100% renewable energy and the Green Power Pass product give organisations access to clean energy, enabling their data center load to support their Net Zero goals.

Waste

Pollution has become a growing concern, and there are global efforts underway seeking ways to clean up and reduce additional pollution. Organisations are exploring innovative ways to apply Circular Economy principles into their operations, divert waste from landfills, or even go “zero waste.” Iron Mountain applauds these efforts, and can support them in a number of ways. Secure IT Asset Disposition can help organisations refurbish and recycle electronics. Our Secure Shredding program recycles all collected paper, and even provides a Green Report to provide essential ESG reporting data as well as helpful and customised information on the environmental benefits from each of our customers’ programs.

How does Green Power Pass work?

Regardless of the size or industry of your company, you need a defined process and secure procedures for disposing of retired and non-working assets. Regulatory penalties, a damaged brand reputation and inadvertent disclosures could result from improper methods.

Iron Mountain® Secure e-Waste and IT Asset Disposition (secure ITAD) services enable you to securely dispose of obsolete it assets in an environmentally-responsible manner through certified partner organisations. You can also maximise your asset value recovery with industry-leading logistics and secure chain of custody processes.

Iron Mountain works with e-Stewards or R2 certified partner organisations that follow the strictest environmental and data privacy guidelines. Customers have the option to retain the value of retired it assets through refurbishment, data sanitisation, and reselling at market price. This allows customers to participate in the circular economy while reducing the total cost of ownership and fully maintaining security and sustainability requirements. Assets can also be recycled and we adhere to the strictest guidelines including a no-overseas and no-landfill policy.
