This major initiative will boost the renewable energy contribution of these data centers to up to 75%. The project supports Iron Mountain's commitment to achieving round-the-clock carbon-free energy operations by 2040 as demand for cloud infrastructure and Al-driven services expands across India.
The partnership supports the Iron Mountain Green Power Pass program, which enables customers to track and take direct credit for the green energy procured for their infrastructure. "Data centers are the engine of the Al revolution, and that engine must run on clean power," said Rajesh Tapadia, CEO, Iron Mountain Data Centers, India. By matching high-density IT loads with local wind and solar energy, Iron Mountain continues to protect and elevate the power of our customers' work.
